Lead Youth Travel Soccer Coach/manager - Kosmos FC TST

Kosmos FC - TST Soccer is a 400 player strong training organization with 3 locations -

• Southern Brooklyn / Rockaway Queens
• Flushing Queens
• Ozone Park / Howard beach

We are currently looking to hire full-time/part-time, youth soccer coaches for the our Travel Soccer Teams. Coaches will be providing travel soccer training for players of different ages and playing abilities from 5-15 years old.

Job Details - We are actively seeking committed, enthusiastic and experienced coaches to work within our organization primarily focusing our travel teams and Jr programs. Players ages 5-15. Successful candidates will be expected to not only lead our travel teams in training sessions and games, but also be able to work with our younger upcoming grassroots program.

Job Description

• Attend club meetings (in-person or virtual)
• Assist with setup and breakdown of activities/events
• Participate in recruitment activities (e.g., club tryouts or other)
• Participate in club wide activities
• Attend staff training organized by the Directors
• Have exceptional communication skills with club and parents.
• Complete and send out the Monthly Kosmos FC TST team overview and upcoming goals
• Complete and distribute Mid-year Player Evaluations including feedback for player growth
• Complete and submit end-of-year player evaluations for all travel team players, focusing on areas for growth in the next season
• Properly manage communication with players and families to limit information gaps.
• Properly plan lessons and drills that are skill appropriate for your teams / players age that align with Kosmos FC TST criteria / outlines
• Be the lead coach on travel teams and perform all lead coach duties on field and administratively.
• Be the lead coach for our Jr classes (5-8 years old) teaching the future of our program, planning lessons that are age appropriate, fun and interactive. (we do not do mommy and me classes)

Minimum Requirements (please only submit an application if you check all boxes below)

• Must be able to commute to all our locations (Rockaway Beach for 3:15pm) and Flushing & Howard Beach / Ozone park for 5:00 pm.
• Valid soccer coaching qualification from relevant body (USSF/NSCAA/UEFA/etc)
• Proven playing experience (Minimum Travel / high school level)
• Teaching experience - experience coaching competitive soccer desirable or with in school teaching experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents.
• Passion for soccer is a MUST!
• Enjoy working with children of all ages.
• Able to work from 3pm-6 or 7pm on weekdays and have weekends available for games
• Already living in New York.
• AED & CPR Certified
• Own transportation (car) and valid drivers license.

Desirable Experience or Qualifications

• Collegiate or professional playing experience
• In school teaching experience or travel coaching experience
• USSF D License (or equivalent) or higher
• 3 year youth travel coaching experience
• DOE Physical Education teacher or other classroom subject

Hourly and Fixed Salary positions available - For Travel Team coaches we offer Competitive Fixed Salary Rates - Salary ranges from $7,500 - $40,000

• We hire on a year to year basis, each coach must commit a full year, will you be able to commit from when hired till June 2027?
• What soccer clubs/organizations have you coached at previously and duration?
• For this job, you must be available after school hours and weekends, must be able to travel throughout the five boroughs and Long island (on the weekends). Is this something your schedule allows consistently ?
• Our coaches must be highly skilled and able to work with 5-8 years old pre-travel players as well travel teams. Are you confident to work with players in these younger age ranges?
• You understand that this position starts Summer/Fall of 2026/27? We will bring you on for the spring if there is availability

Experience:

• soccer coaching: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• USSF Coaching License - Grassroot / D or Higher (Required)
• Driver's License and a CAR (Required)
