What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Assistant position at Koshkaryan Law Group?
We are a plaintiff's personal injury law firm located in the heart of Sherman Oaks. Our office is looking to expand our team with a litigation paralegal with at least 1-3 years of experience. Prior experience and knowledge of personal injury is preferred. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and possess a strong foundation in legal research, document management, and client communication. Responsibilities
- Must be able to handle a heavy litigation case load
- Strong understanding of all state and local rules and deadlines
- Knowledge of eFiling and state/local requirements
- Propound and respond to discovery
- Ability to draft all litigation pleadings such as complaints, oppositions, motion, stipulations, declarations, etc
- Handle all admin litigation communications in a timely and prompt manner
- Manage cases from inception to trial
- Maintain attorney calendars and stay on top of all deadlines
- Calculate deadlines and manage litigation calendar
- Prepare trial documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Maintain a high level of organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy legal environment.
Experience
Minimum of two years of paralegal or legal support experience in a law office setting is required.
