Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Koscom Networks is currently hiring experienced FTTH Fiber Technicians for residential fiber installation and service activation projects in Monroe, Saginaw, Midland, Bay City, Port Huron, Pontiac & Flint MI. This is a 1099 contractor opportunity for experienced technicians who are ready to work independently in the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform FTTH residential fiber installations and service activations
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber internet services
- Test fiber connections and verify service quality
- Educate customers on installed equipment and services
- Complete work orders and service documentation accurately
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Follow company quality and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous FTTH or fiber optic installation experience
- Experience troubleshooting fiber internet services
- Own tools required
- Truck, van, or SUV required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment
- Ability to lift equipment and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Flexible availability, including occasional weekends
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Technicians are responsible for providing their own vehicle and tools.
