Job OverviewWe are a telecom company actively supporting a Drop Bury project across Colorado and are seeking an experienced Lead Drop Bury Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can lead a crew, ensure high-quality installations, and keep projects on track.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage daily field operations for drop bury projects
- Supervise and coordinate a crew of 3 technicians
- Ensure proper installation of underground fiber or coax drops
- Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards on-site
- Coordinate with Project Manager on schedules and progress updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve field issues in real time
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines
- 3 years of experience in drop bury / OSP fiber or coax installation
- Proven experience leading field crews
- Knowledge of 811 utility locate procedures
- Experience operating equipment such as vibratory plow, directional bore, or mini excavator
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field
- Experience working on large-scale telecom or fiber deployment projects
