Role Summary:
- Title: Vice President of Loan Servicing
- Reports to: Executive Leadership / Ownership Group
- Location: Fort Worth, TX (in-office with regular travel to Grapevine office)
- Team Involvement: Oversees a servicing organization of 50–60 professionals, with established managers and supervisors in place
- Primary Focus: Provide executive leadership across all loan servicing operations, drive process automation and technology transformation, and serve as a strategic partner to ownership while positioning the function for significant growth and scalability
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end loan servicing operations, including custodial functions, loan administration, collections, payment processing, and borrower account management
- Oversee portfolio performance, including delinquency trends, roll rates, and charge-offs, while driving strategies to optimize collections and minimize losses
- Provide executive-level oversight of servicing operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls across all functions
- Partner directly with ownership and the board, regularly presenting performance updates, strategic initiatives, and operational insights
- Lead and execute technology integration initiatives, including system implementations, automation efforts, and process modernization to build a fully technology-enabled servicing platform
- Evaluate and improve servicing workflows, driving scalability and efficiency through automation and reduced reliance on outsourced/nearshore processes
- Oversee vendor relationships, including third-party servicing partners, collections agencies, and recovery vendors, ensuring performance and compliance standards are met
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, technology, and executive leadership to align servicing strategy with overall business objectives
- Lead, mentor, and develop leadership within the servicing organization, establishing KPIs, accountability measures, and a high-performance culture
- Support and integrate upcoming merger activities, ensuring seamless operational alignment and scalability of servicing functions
- Act as a client-facing leader, managing relationships, setting expectations, and helping position the servicing platform in the market
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- 10 years of experience in loan servicing, loan operations, or portfolio management, with significant leadership responsibility
- Strong preference for experience in auto loan servicing or consumer lending environments
- Proven ability to operate at an executive level, including board interaction and strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated success leading large servicing teams and overseeing complex loan portfolios
- Deep understanding of collections, portfolio performance metrics, and servicing operations
- Experience implementing or optimizing loan servicing systems, automation, and technology platforms
- Background in high-growth, private equity-backed, or transformation-driven environments is strongly preferred
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves leader who can both execute and drive strategy
- Strong communication and leadership presence, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
