Korn Ferry has been exclusively retained to lead the search for a Senior Vice President, Finance – Americas on behalf of a private equity-backed, high-growth global professional services organization.


With more than $800 million in Americas revenue and approximately 50% year-over-year organic growth, the business is entering a pivotal phase of its evolution. Backed by a long-term private equity sponsor, our client has created this newly established leadership role to build the finance organization required to support continued expansion, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. This aligns with the formal mandate to unify finance across the Americas while driving transformation, strengthening reporting, and supporting the company's next phase of growth.


Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Senior Vice President, Finance – Americas will serve as the senior finance executive for one of the company's fastest-growing global regions, partnering closely with regional Managing Directors and executive leadership to shape business strategy, modernize the finance operating model, and establish a best-in-class finance organization.


A successful candidate will unify finance across multiple operating businesses, build scalable FP&A and business partnering capabilities, improve reporting/governance, and lead financial integration of future acquisitions, This role is ideal for a finance leader who enjoys building organizations, not simply operating mature ones, and who knows what "best-in-class" finance operations looks like.


Key Duties

  • Serve as the senior finance executive for the Americas business, partnering closely with the Group CFO, Managing Directors, and executive leadership team to drive profitable growth and business performance.
  • Lead the continued transformation of the Americas finance organization by introducing scalable processes, governance, reporting disciplines, and operating standards.
  • Build and develop a best-in-class FP&A organization, enhancing forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, executive reporting, KPI development, and commercial business partnering.
  • Modernize the finance operating model by improving automation, reporting quality, financial controls, and decision-support capabilities across multiple operating businesses.
  • Create a unified financial view across the Americas by standardizing reporting, processes, and governance across historically independent businesses.
  • Lead finance integration activities for acquisitions, partnering with the global M&A team to ensure seamless post-close integration, standardized reporting, and value capture.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Commercial Leadership, Technology, and Corporate Finance to improve profitability, operational performance, and strategic decision-making.
  • Support ongoing technology implementations and other initiatives that improve scalability and operational visibility.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing finance leadership team while fostering collaboration across multiple operating businesses and finance organizations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline required; MBA preferred
  • Progressive finance leadership experience as a Senior Vice President of Finance, Regional CFO, Divisional CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent executive supporting complex, multi-site or geographically dispersed organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within a private equity-backed portfolio company or similarly high-growth, performance-driven environment.
  • Proven success building or significantly transforming FP&A organizations, executive reporting, forecasting, and commercial business partnering capabilities.
  • Experience leading finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement, governance, financial controls, and operating model redesign.
  • Demonstrated success integrating acquisitions and building scalable finance organizations in acquisition-driven environments.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence executive leadership and Boards.
  • Experience partnering across Finance, Operations, Commercial, Technology, and Corporate functions to improve business performance.
  • ERP implementation, finance systems modernization, or business transformation experience strongly preferred.
  • A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and highly matrixed organization.


Salary Range & Benefits Overview

$300,000 - $375,000 25% Bonus Equity

Location & Travel

The role allows candidates to be based in Northern New Jersey, Connecticut, or Toronto. Approximately 25–30% travel is expected throughout the Americas, particularly during the first year as the successful candidate builds relationships across the business and supports acquisition integration efforts. There will also be periodic travel Europe.
