Controller Job Summary
The Controller oversees all aspects of accounting operations, including the monthly close process and financial reporting. They provide constructive performance evaluations and develop financial controls.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial controls and accounting procedures for corporate and production sites in the US
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, and planning work assignments
- Oversee the monthly closing and reporting process to ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Maintain accurate and timely financial statements for management teams and banks
- Establish and maintain systems and controls to verify the integrity of data and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Ten (10) or more years of progressive financial leadership experience
- US GAAP experience and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
Work Environment
Prolonged sitting at a desk working on a computer. Overnight travel required.
