Assistant Controller
Role Overview
The Assistant Controller oversees all accounting and financial operations within the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial leadership. The role supports production-driven decision-making, cost control, and operational efficiency across corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure GAAP compliance; manage external audits.
- Cost Accounting - Oversee standard costing, bill of materials accuracy, variance analysis, overhead allocation, and inventory valuation.
- Accounting Operations - Lead AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions; maintain strong internal controls.
- Cash & Asset Management- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee fixed asset accounting.
- Compliance & Policies - Maintain accounting policies, support tax filings, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Leadership - Supervise accounting staff, collaborate with plant leadership, and communicate financial insights to private equity and leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- Big 4 or public accounting background preferred.
- 8 years of experience, manufacturing experience required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, ERP systems, cost accounting, and inventory processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Salary : $175,000 - $180,000
