Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for an Assembly Supervisor based out of their Richardson TX facility. This role will start off training in Dallas TX, then move to the new facility in Richardson.
Ideal backgrounds:
Aviation Electricians
Avionics (AE, AT, etc.) or Electronics Technicians
Chiefs / Gunnery Sergeant with shop leadership
Wire harness / cable assembly leads
Experience in: Wire harness fabrication, Pin-to-pin troubleshooting, End-to-end wiring, Soldering / electrical assembly – highly sought profiles, this experience will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!
Compensation: $75,000-85,000
What You Will Do:
This is a production wiring-focused leadership role overseeing assembly operations tied to RF/electronic systems. The priority is managing workflow, people, and output tied to wire harnessing and electrical assembly, not fabrication.
- Will direct, mentor, and manage assembly personnel (20-30 Direct Reports [and growing.])
- Will plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities to meet manufacturing targets.
- Ensure products meet stringent quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and address any quality issues promptly
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations. Conduct safety audits, implement corrective actions, and foster a culture of safety within assembly work center. Assures that safety practices are observed by all personnel and visitors.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement best practices
- Monitor equipment and tool wear, and request external maintenance when required
- Assists in preparing operating budgets and manages effective expense control.
- Establishes department’s short term needs for manpower, equipment, and facilities, and assists in determination of long-term needs.
- Assures that department adheres to schedules and assists in determining schedules.
Education and Work Experience:
- Must have at least 4 years of US Military experience
- 5 years experience in an assembly environment with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role. Experience in the manufacturing of RF transmitters is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical drawings
- In-depth knowledge of best manufacturing practices
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environment
- Associate’s degree highly preferred; Bachelor’s degree (especially in industrial technology, engineering, or equivalent) is a plus.
