Buyer Assistant

As an Assistant Planner you will assist with administrative duties, inventory control and receiving of packaging and raw materials.

• Assist in receiving inventory and entering data into systems.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain all quality of standards as specified by company.
• Participate in safety programs and any assigned training programs.
• Wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for assigned tasks.
• Adhere to all company and safety policies.
• Contribute to the success of the company.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

• Associates Degree preferred, but not required.
• Minimum six (6) months of working experience or training, or a combinations of work experience/training.
• Written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships both internally and externally.
• Strong computer aptitude in MS Office including Word and Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn various software pertaining to position.
• Previous Inventory Management or MRP experience required.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and reporting abilities.
• Strong time management, decision making, problem solving and organizing skills.
• Ability to compute, analyze and apply all basic math concepts.

Working Environment/Physical Demands

• Manufacturing working environment; may be exposed to excessive heat and/or noise occasionally.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, while using proper lifting techniques.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to sit for long periods of time, walk, climb stairs, reach with arms and hands.
• Ability to hear safety horns, announcements/safety messages and pages.
• Ability to take direction and work well with others.
