Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Bilingual Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential Manufactured Housing (MH) community. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative and operational skills, prior property management experience, and a solid understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
This role is responsible for managing resident relations, home and lot leasing activities, coordinating maintenance and capital improvements, enforcing community guidelines, and ensuring overall community performance. The Community Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for residents and will foster a positive, well-maintained, and financially stable community environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a manufactured housing community, including lot leases and (if applicable) company-owned home rentals
- Manage leasing processes including community tours, application processing, lease signings, and renewals using platforms such as Yardi or OneSite
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, company policies, and local/state landlord-tenant laws
- Enforce community rules and guidelines while maintaining positive resident relationships
- Handle resident inquiries and resolve concerns using effective conflict resolution strategies
- Oversee rent collections, delinquency management, and payment posting
- Coordinate property maintenance, lot inspections, utility oversight, and vendor services to ensure community standards are maintained
- Monitor occupancy, drive traffic, and support marketing initiatives to increase home sales and/or lot occupancy
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to ensure quality service and cost control
- Maintain accurate records of leases, resident files, compliance documentation, and operational reports
- Conduct regular community inspections to ensure curb appeal, safety, and adherence to community standards
- Support budgeting and expense tracking to help optimize community NOI
Qualifications
- 2 years of property management (Manufactured Housing experience required)
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law
- Experience managing rent collections, delinquencies, and lease administration
- Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, OneSite, AppFolio, or similar)
- Strong administrative skills including data entry, reporting, and document management
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage vendors and coordinate maintenance effectively
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
