Job Overview:
The Contracts Administrator is responsible for the administration, management, and execution of contracts related to the procurement of goods and services. Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize procurement contracts for goods, services, and projects.
- Ensure all contracts are aligned with organizational goals, legal requirements, and procurement policies.
- Maintain and update records of all contracts, amendments, and correspondence related to procurement agreements.
- Act as the main point of contact for any contract-related queries and issues.
- Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to contract terms, obligations, and supplier performance.
- Monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions throughout the duration of the agreement.
- Procurement Process Support:
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure the timely and efficient acquisition of goods and services.
- Assist with sourcing, selecting, and evaluating suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure that contracts reflect accurate specifications, pricing, timelines, and delivery terms.
- Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations with vendors and suppliers to obtain favorable terms for the company.
- Ensure that the final agreements align with the company’s financial and operational objectives.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies during the contract creation and execution process.
- Prepare and maintain reports regarding procurement activities, supplier performance, and contract status.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the legal department, procurement team, and project managers to ensure that contracts support operational needs.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors to support long-term partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in contracts administration, procurement, or legal environments.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract law, and industry standards.
- Skills:
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management software.
- Ability to interpret complex contract terms and conditions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
