People-first role at our Class A - Trophy commercial office building in the Southwestern suburbs of Chicago. You will be the welcoming face of the building—creating connection, calm, and community for tenants, guests, and vendors—while growing your career within a seasoned property management team.
About the role
You will set the tone for the building experience each day: greeting tenants, orchestrating events, and partnering across security, vendors, and property management to deliver consistently excellent service. This role blends hospitality, operations, and community-building—perfect for someone who is kind, proactive, and energized by helping others.
What you’ll do
- Create exceptional first impressions: Welcome and assist tenants, guests, and vendors; answer questions and resolve issues quickly.
- Build tenant relationships: Develop ongoing rapport, gather feedback, and proactively identify ways to improve the experience.
- Partner with security: Coordinate on daily coverage and high-level customer service continuity; assist with access card activation, deactivation, and distribution.
- Curate community: Create, plan and host tenant events alongside the property management team, foster connections, well-being, and engagement.
- Support building operations: Enter tenant work orders, provide coverage for security or the management office when needed, and help with tenant and staff meetings.
- Elevate the environment: Assist with the coordination of lobby décor and seasonal installations; support vendor management.
- Handle admin essentials: Assist management team with documentation, communications, manuals, and general administrative tasks.
What you’ll bring
- Experience: 2 years in customer service, hospitality, front desk, or community-focused roles.
- People skills: Genuinely social, warm, and inviting. Ability to de-escalate tense situations with calm and clarity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; confident, professional presence.
- Organization: Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management; reliable follow-through.
- Tech comfort: MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with work order or scheduling systems a plus.
