Our Laurel Hill, NC facility is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our on-site team and support both office and manufacturing operations.
Role Description The Information Technology Support Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Laurel Hill, NC. This role provides day-to-day technical support for desktop computers, peripherals, and end users, including installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software. The specialist responds to help desk requests, troubleshoots system and application issues, and resolves connectivity and account access problems in a timely manner. Responsibilities include managing user accounts and permissions, supporting common business applications, and escalating complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when needed. The IT Support Specialist provides hands-on technical support for end users, manages core IT systems, and ensures reliable operation of network and shopfloor technologies. This role is fully on-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role also helps document procedures, maintain asset inventories, and support IT initiatives that improve system reliability, security, and user experience across the facility.

Responsibilities
· Provide Tier 1–3 end-user support for hardware, software, and peripherals
· Support shopfloor systems, industrial workstations, and production-related IT equipment
· Manage Active Directory users, groups, permissions, and Group Policies
· Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls
· Perform system patching, updates, and routine maintenance
· Monitor and support backup processes; Veeam experience is a plus
· Assist with virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
· Maintain IT documentation and asset inventory
· Collaborate with vendors and internal teams as needed
· Ensure compliance with IT security and company policies
· Walk the facility to support users and equipment; lift/carry up to 35 lbs when required
Qualifications
Required
· Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience
· Strong troubleshooting and end-user support skills
· Experience with Active Directory and Windows Server environments
· Working knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
· Experience with patch management, system maintenance and backup systems (Veeam)
· Ability to work on-site full-time (100%)
· Ability to walk throughout the facility and lift up to 35 lbs
Preferred
· IT-related associate or bachelor’s degree
· Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
· Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
· Manufacturing or shopfloor IT support experience
· Knowledge of ITIL practices
· Experience with endpoint management tools (SCCM, Intune, etc.)
