What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer Technician (Co-op) position at Koppers Inc.?
Job Responsibilities
Provide engineering supportto improve safety, productivity,reliabilityand costforplant relatedprojects using engineering principles,theoriesand techniques.
Assistin reverse-engineering of parts to support costreduction projects
Assist Engineering with problem solving on plant equipment
Design parts to be used in the plant for reasons of increased safety, productivity, and cost reduction
Assistengineering in reliability projects ranging from improvements to tank inspections
Create andmodifydrawings using CAD systems
Update Process and Instrumentation drawings as needed
Provide support to R&D projects and the Chemical Engineering Co-ops as needed
Assist Engineering with both capital and maintenance projects as needed
Obtain quotes on parts from machine shops and oversee installation in the plant
Perform other duties as assigned
CandidateQualifications/ Requirements
Candidate will have completed at least one year of Engineering or Engineering Technology
