- Position: Account Executive – Houston
We are seeking an experienced Account Executive based in Houston, TX, to join our rapidly growing team. This role is responsible for driving sales, building brand awareness, and delivering best-in-class customer service through the implementation and development of field sales, training, and event strategies.
As an Account Executive, you will:
- Manage a territory of key Ulta Beauty focus doors within the Houston and surrounding region.
- Lead and develop a team of 5–10 freelancers.
- Report directly to the Regional Sales Manager, while partnering closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to achieve company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Create and execute store-specific sales and brand plans.
- Manage territory budgets including travel, expenses, and freelance spend.
- Recruit, train, and retain high-performing freelance teams and Beauty Advisors/Coordinators (where applicable).
- Ensure visual merchandising consistency and uphold brand standards across all doors.
- Complete all administrative requirements on time, including calendars, expenses, and event recaps.
- Execute launch plans and marketing initiatives effectively.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Ulta Beauty operations and best practices.
- Train and educate store teams on product knowledge, new launches, and top initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a call cycle to ensure consistent and comprehensive territory coverage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as an Account Executive or in-field beauty sales role, preferably with Ulta Beauty.
- Proven track record of achieving personal and territory sales goals.
- Strong leadership, sales, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and strategic planning abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to change.
- Hands-on, organized, and proactive problem solver with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours per day (with breaks).
- Must spend 100% of time in the field/in-store selling.
- Space in your home to store approximately two (2) 9"x12"x6" boxes.
- Ability to travel as needed.
SALARY RANGE: $60,000-68,000* plus bonus
*Actual placement within the compensation range may vary
depending on multiple factors, including experience, education, skills, location, etc.
