What You'll Do:

• Process electronic court filings through Idaho's statewide filing system.
• Manage misdemeanor and felony criminal case files from filing through disposition.
• Schedule court hearings and prepare official court documents.
• Process appeals and maintain accurate case information.
• Record returned mail and update court records.
• Enter and maintain critical information in the statewide court database.
• Route court filings to judges and appropriate court personnel.
• Maintain official Register of Action entries as part of the permanent court record.
• Assist other Court Services departments with workload as needed.
• Provide procedural information to the public without providing legal advice.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of Court Services Clerk II experience (two years preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to comprehend and follow complex Idaho Court rules and written instructions.
• Ability to track cash transactions and complete daily audit reports.
• Highly developed ability to work with the public and individuals who may be experiencing various legal circumstances.
• Previous experience working in a court, legal, criminal justice, or government environment preferred.

Training & Background Check Requirements

• Required attendance at Idaho Institute of Court Management (IICM) training when available.

• Successful completion of a comprehensive pre-employment background investigation, including fingerprinting and a credit check.
