You’ll work hands-on with audio/video equipment, support website content, help craft compelling materials, and contribute to the important work of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC).

What You’ll Do:
- Operate audio/video equipment to record public meetings for documentation and public access
- Support creation and updates for BOCC websites
- Design and distribute digital and print materials: reports, flyers, newsletters, social media content, videos, graphics, and more
- Post meeting videos and create multimedia content for public outreach
- Assist in gathering and analyzing public feedback through surveys and forums
- Help draft press releases, media advisories, and public service announcements
- Coordinate with departments on media coverage for special events
- Record and edit meeting minutes for internal committees
- Support press conferences, interviews, and other public-facing events
- Respond to public records requests and assist with general communications workflows
- Participate in evening public events as needed

Do You Have What It Takes?
- An associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college, technical school, or professional program in communications or a closely related field.
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience in local government, a related office setting.
- Or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge and skills.
Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one

- Strong technical skills in electronic and audio/visual equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong organization and time management skills
- The ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- Knowledge of public communication strategies, media relations, and content creation
- Experience in design software, video editing, or web content management is a plus
- Familiarity with local government or public sector communications is helpful
