Retail Yard Customer Service Representative
Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Yard Manager / Store Manager
We’re looking for a Retail Yard Customer Service Representative to be the welcoming face of our yard, providing exceptional service, assisting customers with their orders, and keeping our yard safe, organized, and efficient. This role combines customer service, order fulfillment, and operational support to create a positive experience that keeps customers coming back.
What You’ll Do
- Greet customers warmly when they enter the yard and respond promptly to phone inquiries.
- Assist customers in pulling orders, inspecting merchandise, making returns, and loading/unloading products.
- Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to load and unload trucks as directed.
- Locate and pull inventory accurately by type, style, and quantity to complete orders efficiently.
- Help truck drivers safely load and unload deliveries and return credit items to proper locations.
- Maintain knowledge of products, usage, pricing, and new inventory to assist customers effectively.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and litter-free work environment.
- Complete reports including order checks, material receipts, and forklift inspections.
- Attend and participate in company-sponsored training programs.
- Promote teamwork and support other employees and work areas as needed.
