Retail Sales Associate – Paint Department
Location: Milford, MA
Schedule: Part-Time (Fridays required; some Saturdays)
Pay: $17–$20 per hour (based on experience)
About the Role
Join Koopman Lumber’s Paint Department as a Retail Sales Associate. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll help customers, mix paint, and keep the department running smoothly.
- Assist customers with product selection and paint mixing
- Process transactions (cash, charge accounts, gift cards)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department
- Receive and put away inventory
- Recommend products to support customer projects
- Support both DIY customers and professional painters
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Attention to detail (especially with paint mixing and transactions)
- Basic math and ability to follow instructions
- Team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
