About the Role
At Koopman Lumber, our Yard Customer Service Representatives are the frontline team members who keep the yard running smoothly and customers moving in the right direction. You’ll help customers load materials, process returns, stock inventory, and ensure every interaction is safe, accurate, and friendly.
This is an active, hands-on role where you’ll work outdoors year-round, operate forklifts, and collaborate closely with both customers and coworkers. What You’ll Do
- Greet customers and assist with orders, returns, and product questions.
- Safely operate forklifts (training and certification provided).
- Pull and prepare customer orders with accuracy, ensuring materials are staged and loaded securely.
- Assist drivers with deliveries and credit returns, checking for accuracy and proper storage.
- Unload incoming shipments, verify counts, and complete required documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard at all times.
- Support teammates, supervisors, and other departments when extra help is needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and remain alert to potential hazards.
