Position Summary
The Body Shop Technician is responsible for repairing damaged vehicle bodies and restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform body repairs including dent repair, panel replacement, and structural repairs
- Repair and replace damaged vehicle components
- Perform welding, grinding, sanding, and metal finishing as needed
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for repair
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and safety standards
- Work closely with estimators and management to complete repairs efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
- Previous auto body repair experience required
- Ability to use body shop tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Welding and frame experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
