What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at KOOKS CUSTOM HEADERS INC?
Description
- Reads blueprints/ drawings
- Takes/ reads measurements
- Operates machinery such as grinders, band saws, etc.
- Loads metals parts/ tubing into fixtures
- Aligns parts using calipers, rulers, clamps, etc.
- Ensures proper fitment of parts
- Tack welds parts together
- MIG & TIG welds parts under supervision of more experienced welders
- Stages jobs for Welder II’s and III’s
- Assists Welder’s II & III’s as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1 – 2 years on the job (MIG & TIG) welding experience
- Experience using saws, welder machines, tools, etc.
- Knowledge of PPE (face shields, welder helmets, gloves, steel toes, curtains, etc)
- Must have a commitment to excellent quality standards.
- Must have a commitment to Safety.
- Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
- Must possess a helpful, friendly & positive attitude.
- High School diploma/ GED required
- Experience welding stainless steel a plus
- Welding Certification Program (AWS) a plus
Other Details:
- Periodic lifting (up to 50lbs.)
- Sustained periods of standing
