Position Summary:
The Planning Specialist will serve as a core member of Konvergent’s advisory and client strategy team. This role supports the firm’s advisors in delivering sophisticated planning, investment, and wealth strategies to ultra-high-net-worth families.
You will help translate complex financial and estate designs into clear, actionable plans using tools like Addepar, Luminary, Income Solver, Riskalyze, VRGL, and our internal planning models. This is a hands-on role that blends financial planning, project management, analysis, and client preparation work.
You’ll be responsible for building structure around the client experience, enhancing planning deliverables, and supporting the advisory team as the firm scales from $800M toward $5B AUM.
This role is ideal for someone who loves organization, analytics, and making a fast-growing advisory firm run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Planning & Support
• Build planning deliverables across investment, estate, tax, liquidity, and retirement planning
• Prepare meeting materials, summaries, allocation proposals, and scenario analyses
• Assist advisors in designing planning strategies for UHNW families and business owners
• Use Addepar, Luminary, Riskalyze, Income Solver, and VRGL to create clean, precise client outputs
• Maintain planning notes, action items, and follow-up workflows
Investment & Portfolio Support
• Build and maintain portfolio allocation breakdowns for client reviews
• Run risk assessments, tax impact analysis, and investment summaries
• Support preparation of proposals and investment memos
• Help map client accounts, entity structures, and ownership inside Addepar
Operations & Workflow Management
• Ensure accuracy of data feeds, custodian connections, and reporting systems
• Track planning tasks and ensure follow-through using Asana
• Build repeatable processes for planning, preparation, and client communication
• Organize and maintain internal planning templates and best practices
Client Meeting Preparation
• Own the preparation workflow for client meetings
• Build agendas, summaries, follow-up lists, and consolidated client reports
• Coordinate with advisors, specialists, and external partners (CPAs, attorneys, insurance teams)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Client Prep Accuracy – Near-zero errors across planning and reporting materials
- Meeting Preparedness – All planning deliverables completed three business days before meetings
- Workflow Completion – >90 percent of Asana tasks completed on time
- Addepar Luminary Data Quality – 100 percent accuracy across account mapping, entities, tags, and holdings
- Advisor Support Efficiency – Reduced advisor prep time through strong processes and systems
Qualifications:
Required
• One to four years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or investment support
• Strong understanding of financial planning concepts (retirement, investment basics, tax awareness)
• High proficiency in Excel, data organization, and process-driven work
• Extremely detail oriented with excellent written communication
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced UHNW environment
• Comfort working hands-on with technology across planning and reporting systems
Preferred
• Experience with Addepar, Luminary, Riskalyze, VRGL, or similar platforms
• Experience supporting UHNW clients
• SIE in progress or completed
Compensation
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience ($60,000 to $70,000)

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
