About Kontota Mobile Grooming
Kontota Mobile Grooming is a premium mobile dog grooming company based in Georgetown, TX. Our grooming vans and facility are essential to the success of our business, and we’re looking for a dependable, hands-on individual to help keep everything clean, organized, and running smoothly.
The Role
This is a maintenance and operations support role focused on the day-to-day upkeep of our mobile grooming vans and facility. This is not a mechanic position. Instead, the role involves basic maintenance, troubleshooting, cleaning, detailing, and helping ensure our equipment and workspaces stay in excellent condition.
We are looking for someone who notices small issues before they become big problems and takes initiative to fix them. If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in a well-maintained and organized environment, this could be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities
Van Maintenance & Upkeep (Non-Mechanical)
- Clean and maintain grooming vans, both interior and exterior
- Detail vans on a regular schedule
- Replace filters and basic parts as needed
- Perform simple repairs and address minor issues before they become bigger problems
- Troubleshoot common issues such as drawers, latches, hardware, and fixtures
- Report larger concerns promptly
Facility Support
- Laundry (towels, grooming smocks, etc.) and keeping supplies organized
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility
- Keep workspaces stocked and ready for daily operations
Tools, Inventory & Organization (Growth Opportunity)
- Organize and maintain tools and equipment
- Monitor supply levels and notify management when restocking is needed
- Help improve organization and efficiency over time
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent
- Hands-on and comfortable troubleshooting
- Basic maintenance and repair skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working with dogs is a major plus, as you will be in a grooming and pet-focused environment
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Vehicle detailing experience
- Facilities, operations, or warehouse experience
- Inventory or supply management experience
- Dog handling, grooming, kennel, vet, or daycare experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and working with your hands
- Comfortable working around cleaning products and pets
