Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate Attorney role based in Greenfield, WI. The Associate Attorney will handle a mixed caseload, including drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and client correspondence, as well as reviewing and analyzing documents and evidence. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing legal opinions, and providing clear, practical advice to clients under the supervision of senior attorneys. The role involves participating in negotiations, attending hearings and conferences, and communicating with courts, opposing counsel, and third parties. The Associate Attorney will also help manage deadlines, maintain organized case files, and contribute to internal process improvements and firm initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and regulations and apply them to client matters.
- Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law or related practice areas, including familiarity with workplace policies, compliance issues, and dispute resolution.
- Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients, translating complex legal concepts into understandable guidance.
- Proficiency in legal Research, including use of online databases and secondary sources to support arguments and strategy.
- Effective Negotiation skills, with the capacity to advocate for client interests in settlement discussions and other negotiations.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and license to practice law in Wisconsin (or eligibility and intent to obtain Wisconsin licensure promptly).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
