Pay: $28-$35/hour (based on experience)
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose, service, and repair a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and buses. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics using advanced tools, electrical systems, and schematics
- Repair and maintain vehicle systems including engines, brakes, suspension, steering, transmission, and electrical components
- Complete routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, inspections)
- Interpret technical manuals and ADAS data
- Perform suspension work
- Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, A/C, electrical, and computer systems
- Use shop equipment (diagnostic machines, alignment systems, welding tools, etc.)
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work bay
- Communicate effectively with service advisors, teammates, and customers regarding repair status and technical diagnoses
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of automotive and/or diesel mechanic experience
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across multiple vehicle systems
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and buses is a plus
- Valid driver's license with insurable record
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willing to complete a pre-employment drug test
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in varying conditions
- ASE certification (A/B/C level) or equivalent experience preferred
- Vocational/Technical degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented with professionalism and strong communication skills
