Konkordia acquired TruCore in 2023 (https://trucoreholdings.us), a growing public adjusting platform, and are actively pursuing add-on acquisitions to expand TruCore’s footprint and capabilities across the United States.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Representative to support our add-on acquisition strategy for TruCore. This role is highly phone-focused and outreach-driven, with responsibility for identifying, contacting, and initiating conversations with potential acquisition targets in the public adjusting and related services space.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, organized sales professional who is extremely comfortable on the phone and interested in private equity, M&A, and business development. The role is remote but an ideal candidate would be able to travel to industry events from time to time.
Primary Responsibilities – Add-On Acquisitions
- Conduct high-volume cold calling and direct outreach to identify potential add-on acquisition targets for TruCore
- Research and source public adjusting firms and related businesses that may be suitable acquisition candidates
- Initiate and manage early-stage conversations with business owners and decision-makers
- Clearly and professionally communicate TruCore’s acquisition strategy and value proposition
- Qualify opportunities and hand off viable leads to senior leadership for further evaluation
- Maintain accurate, detailed records of outreach activity, conversations, and follow-ups within a CRM
- Track outreach metrics, pipeline activity, and responses in an organized and disciplined manner
Secondary Responsibilities
- Support broader business development efforts for TruCore,
- Assist with market research, lead generation, and outreach campaigns as needed
- Attend industry events to represent TruCore and generate acquisitions
Growth & Advancement
This role offers a clear path for advancement into more senior roles such as Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or expanded acquisition-focused roles within TruCore or other Konkordia portfolio companies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in a phone-heavy or outbound role
- Extremely comfortable making cold calls and speaking with business owners and executives
- Fluent in English with strong verbal communication skills
- Outgoing, confident, and personable
- Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline
- Experience using CRM systems and logging outreach activity consistently
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable with rejection
- Undergraduate degree preferred
