Quality Technician 

Monticello, MN | Direct Hire | 1st Shift | $27/hour (Based on Experience)

Konik is partnering with a manufacturing organization seeking a Quality Technician to support inspection activities, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives within their production environment. This role will perform incoming, receiving, and in-process inspections while partnering closely with production teams to ensure parts meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have previous quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret drawings, use inspection equipment, and maintain accurate quality documentation. Experience with CMM equipment, PC-DMIS software, PPAPs, and corrective action documentation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, receiving, and in-process inspections to verify product quality and compliance with specifications.
• Inspect manufactured parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Support production teams by ensuring quality requirements are met and parts are available for continued operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements to complete accurate inspections.
• Create and maintain inspection documentation, measuring instructions, and quality records.
• Document inspection results using Microsoft Office applications and quality systems.
• Identify quality issues, communicate findings, and support problem-solving efforts with production and engineering teams.
• Maintain an organized work area and follow company safety and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, efficiency, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in a quality inspection or manufacturing quality role.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment and interpret inspection results.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with production teams and internal departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to safely handle and move parts, equipment, and materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CMM equipment and PC-DMIS software.
• Experience with steel tube manufacturing or fabricated metal components.
• Experience creating inspection instructions, CAPA documentation, or PPAP documentation.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.

Additional Role Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.
• Manufacturing environment with hands-on inspection responsibilities.
• Role supports both quality assurance and production operations.
