Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, Inc. in Johnstown, PA is seeking to fill an Electro-Mechanical Assembler position in our Box Build department. The Box Build Assembler I will perform Electro-Mechanical assembly operations to Remote Weapon Stations (RWS).

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Perform Electro-Mechanical assembly operations using basic hand tools and test equipment following step by step work instructions.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using wiring schematics, deficiencies and concerns in supplied and internally manufactured materials.
• Document deficiencies in Improve data base.
• Report progress and discrepancies to Box Build Lead.
• Support and participate in training and cross-training.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma/GED equivalent is required; however, an associate's degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years of prior manufacturing production experience preferred. 
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Basic computer proficiencies, such as using internal computer systems, email and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. 
• Must be able to work from prints, procedures, assembly diagrams, sketches, schematics and/or verbal-written instructions.
