Server / Food Runner / Busser / Host

Summary

Kona is looking for energetic, polished, and motivated team members to join our service team. We are a hawaiian, surf inspired restaurant. We are hiring for front-of-house roles, including host, busser, food runner, or server.

This is a fast-paced hospitality position for someone who takes pride in their work, carries themselves professionally, and enjoys creating a great guest experience. We hold our team to a high standard and are looking for people who bring strong energy, attention to detail, and a positive attitude every shift.

Whether you are welcoming guests at the door, running food, bussing tables, or serving, you will play an important role in making Kona feel warm, organized, and memorable.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and help create a welcoming first impression
• Assist with seating, reservations, waitlists, and guest flow
• Take food and beverage orders accurately when serving
• Run food from the kitchen to tables quickly and professionally
• Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently during service
• Support servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and polished dining room
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant service standards
• Communicate clearly with guests and team members during busy shifts
• Help create a fun, professional, high-energy environment

Qualifications / Skills

• Friendly, confident, and guest-focused personality
• Professional appearance and strong hospitality presence
• Strong work ethic and pride in doing things the right way
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and be coached
• Restaurant experience is preferred but not required for all positions
• Experience with POS or reservation systems is a plus
• Must be reliable, punctual, and ready to contribute every shift

Pay: $16.90 - $27.47 per hour
