Position Overview/General Description
The candidate will have education and administration experience, demonstrated transformational leadership experience, work well in a team environment and be motivated towards overall school improvement and program planning.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership
- Conducts classroom observations, evaluations, and provides feedback that motivates and encourages learning.
- Assists in the Management of the team to ensure curriculum is executed in alignment with State standards
- Uses a growth mindset to train, coach and develop for the future
- Listens objectively to employee concerns and plans a recommended course of action
- Assists in ensuring classroom substitutes
- Assists in Managing new hire paperwork and all employee files in compliance with state licensing regulations
- Assists in Covid-19 policies and procedures, notifies parents, tracks absences, and completes reports due to illness
- Assists in day-to-day operations and reporting
Students
- Supports teachers and students with behavior support, Discipline, and positive reinforcement
- Supports our schools PBIS goals
- Attends IEP/504 meetings
Curriculum
- Plays an active role in planning and implementing curriculum and program Changes
- Assists teachers in adopting changes
- Communicates plans to teachers and students
- Assists in completing required documents for program planning and implementation
- Assists in monitoring and evaluating programs
Community
- Leads tour with prospective families, highlighting key features and points of difference of our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.
- Assists in Ensuring the physical environment and health/safety standards are full compliance with local and state licensing regulations
- Manages relationships with state licensors and conducts center evaluations
- Conducts monthly emergency safety drills
Required Qualifications, Experience & Education
- Two or more years of Charter School educational leadership/management experience highly preferred. One year of educational leadership required
- Must have professional teaching experience in elementary education. Teaching experience in a Charter/Alternative school preferred
- Strong knowledge of state Charter licensing rules and regulations
- Experience with Unions
- Have experience using Infinite Campus
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Graduate degree in Education, School or Business Administration
- Must be a US citizen or have a valid work visa
Job Types: Contract, Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
