Role Overview
We’re looking for a creator-minded Social Media Executive to join our Komodo team remotely, based in New York. This role is best suited to someone who lives and breathes social-first content and can confidently ideate, capture, edit, and publish iPhone-native content that looks and feels right for the platform.
You’ll manage channels and support reporting as well as creating great content quickly, consistently, and with taste. If you’re the kind of person who is always filming, saving audios, spotting trends early, and turning everyday moments into scroll-stopping posts, you’ll thrive here.
You’ll help drive engagement and grow our clients’ digital presence across Instagram, TikTok, and beyond, collaborating with our Social& creative teams, creators, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management & Content
- Support the management and growth of client channels across Instagram, TikTok, and beyond, including scheduling, publishing, and community management.
- Ensure content is on-brand, consistent, and optimized for each platform’s best practices and formats.
- Shoot iPhone-first social content (Reels/TikToks/Stories/Carousel assets) in a confident, natural, social-native style.
- Edit content quickly and cleanly using mobile-first tools (CapCut, InShot, TikTok/IG native tools, etc.) with strong attention to pacing, hooks, text overlays, and sound selection.
- Create platform-native formats: trending edits, lo-fi/high-impact UGC-style content, story sequences, BTS, product/lifestyle moments, and “always-on” content.
- Contribute creative ideas weekly and turn concepts into real outputs fast.
- Support the development of content calendars and campaign plans aligned to client objectives.
- Help identify repeatable content series and scalable formats that keep accounts moving.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track performance metrics and produce regular reports with clear insights and recommendations.
- Use data to improve creative choices (hooks, formats, length, content themes, posting cadence).
Trend Monitoring
- Stay current on platform changes, trends, sounds, formats, and creator behavior.
- Translate trends into on-brand ideas that feel authentic, not forced.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the creative and social teams, creators/influencers, and clients to execute campaigns smoothly and consistently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience creating and managing social content, especially for Instagram and TikTok (Pinterest experience is a plus).
- A portfolio that clearly shows social-first work (Reels/TikToks/Stories/UGC-style content). This is essential.
- Confident shooting and editing content on an iPhone (you know how to make it look good without overproducing it).
- Strong understanding of trends, algorithms, and platform best practices.
- Excellent communication, writing, and project management skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment (agency experience preferred).
- Familiarity with scheduling tools and performance analytics platforms is helpful.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
