The Welder will fabricate a wide variety of small to large sheet metal and structural steel products including guards, chutes, covers, conveyors, tanks, frames, and flumes constructed of material ranging from 14 gauge to ¼” carbon steel plate and stainless steel.
Role And Responsibilities
First Shift: 5:00am-1:30pm CST

The Welder will fabricate a wide variety of small to large sheet metal and structural steel products including guards, chutes, covers, conveyors, tanks, frames, and flumes constructed of material ranging from 14 gauge to ¼” carbon steel plate and stainless steel.
Role And Responsibilities
- While operating a MIG welding machine, regulate current and voltage for proper fusion of metals, pressures, and flow of gas or other materials
- Select materials and gauge of metal
- Work from engineering drawings, layouts, sketches, samples, prototypes, or verbal instructions concerning general requirements
- Use various hand power tools and hand tools to finish product
- Grind out slag, burrs, and sharp edges using portable grinder or sander
- Inspect and mark part number on finished parts
- Operate forklift or overhead crane to move parts and materials
- Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Record daily attendance and production information on timekeeping system
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Between 2 and 4 years of trade school, vocational education, work experience, or apprenticeship training in MIG welding and sheet metal fabrication
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawing, routings, and other written instruction
- Knowledge of metal fabrication methods, processes, and equipment
- An understanding of material characteristics as related to the fabrication processes of cutting, bending, rolling, and welding
- Working knowledge of mathematics for metal fabrication, equipment setup, and use including fractions and decimal equivalent
- Frequently push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs
- Fork Lift Operator Certification
- Able to work First Shift from 5:00am to 1:30pm CST
