The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will manage the accuracy and efficiency of the product and shipment process. Additionally, the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will ensure that there are proper stock levels of shipping supplies, collaborate with internal departments for quotations and inventory adjustments, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
- Maintain sufficient level of shipping supplies and send order requests to the Procurement Department
- Provide weights, dimensions, and shipping quotes to the Aftermarket Department
- Create invoices and packing list for international export job shipments
- Verify and adjust packing list for Aftermarket shipments
- Issue items removed from inventory for use on jobs, work orders, and AMs in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, sort, and stock receivables
- Contact logistics providers for scheduling truck shipments
- Process return paperwork for all rejected items from QC inspection area
- Pack all rejected items from QC inspection area and create shipment
- Create shipping papers for incoming, outgoing, as well as third party shipments
- Maintain up-to-date records to ensure accuracy of inventory data
- Produce clear, complete, and accurate reports
- Enter daily shipments into UPS WorldShip and FEDEX ship manager
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with others involved in the shipment and receipt of products
- Maintain a safe, clean and neat area
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Thorough knowledge of proper packing techniques and best practices for shipping
- Exposure to manufacturing or industrial experience
- 7 years of experience in shipping and receiving
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising employees
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication
- Understanding of shipment codes
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipments
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience (D365)
