The Controller of Diversified Water will support Komline’ s Diversified Water segment where stewardship meets cutting-edge technology. While implementing internal control policies and procedures for financial activities, the Controller will oversee employees in six specialized business units that are at the forefront of solving water challenges from advanced membrane filtration technologies to innovative stormwater solutions protecting wetlands and waterways.
Duties And Responsibilities
The Controller of Diversified Water will support Komline’ s Diversified Water segment where stewardship meets cutting-edge technology. While implementing internal control policies and procedures for financial activities, the Controller will oversee employees in six specialized business units that are at the forefront of solving water challenges from advanced membrane filtration technologies to innovative stormwater solutions protecting wetlands and waterways.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the daily aspects of accounting, financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, tax compliance, and revenue recognition through local office personnel
- Oversee preparation of monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, financial, and cash flow forecasts
- Lead the accounting team on initiatives to shorten the monthly close cycle
- Prepare reports and provide analysis to drive the Komline’s efforts to optimize working capital management
- Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timely delivery of percentage of completion (“POC”) accounting schedules for inclusion in monthly financial statements and for delivery to Komline
- Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual audit.
- Complete audits in compliance with GAAP with additional focus on minimizing adjustments and limiting internal control comments
- Take on special projects and ad hoc reporting requirements of the business
- Maintain knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards
- Set a high standard for the finance function and each of its’ processes and implement best practice, process, and systems in key accounting functions
- Develop a culture of service, performance, and continuous improvement while promoting and rewarding initiative and teamwork.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 10 years of related accounting and team leadership
- Prio experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar in a company with a multi‐location footprint
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation
- Proficiency of Microsoft Suite products such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (including creation of pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Work with multiple Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/accounting software packages and lead ongoing Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration projects
- History of managing accounting functions for multiple sites
- Effectively communicate verbally and in written documentation
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Time management with proven ability to meet deadlines; proven experience in a fast-paced Private Equity (PE) backed or similar environment
- Ability to travel up to 25% to designated business units
- Industrial manufacturing experience
- Percentage of completion accounting experience within a manufacturing or project related environment
Salary : $155,000 - $175,000
