The HR Specialist II will balance operational HR functions with strategic workforce initiatives by working closely with plant leadership, manufacturing teams, and corporate HR to drive employee engagement, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the talent needs of this growing division.Roles and ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, compensation, and workplace concernsConduct thorough investigations while recommending appropriate solutions to resolve employee relations issuesImplement employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, retention, and workplace cultureProvide onboarding for new hires and conduct exit interviews to analyze data trends and recommend retention strategiesMaintain HRIS data integrity through regular audits, updates, and documentationAnalyze workforce trends and provide insights to leadership on turnover, absenteeism, and other key indicators to support data driven decision makingSupport performance management processes, including review cycles and performance improvement plansAdminister employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave managementProcess and coordinate leave of absence requests (FMLA, medical, personal)Support annual compensation reviews and merit increase processesEnsure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO regulationsPartner with Safety and Operations teams to support workplace safety initiatives and training programs. Maintain training records and completions of programsMaintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with legal requirements to support workers' compensation claims and return-to-workProvide support for the Talent Acquisition team when neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environmentUnderstanding of federal and state employment laws and HR best practicesExperience with full-cycle recruitment and employee relations case managementProficiency with HRIS systems (experience with Workday, ADP, or similar platforms preferred)Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Preferred QualificationsProfessional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)Experience in a multi-site manufacturing organizationBackground in industrial, automotive, aerospace, or engineered products industriesExperience with union or non-union manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standardsFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principlesEqual Opportunity Statement: Komline is an EEO employer – M/F/Vets/Disabled
