The Aftermarket Sales Engineer II will manage routine aftermarket parts and service inquiries across specialized product lines which include Pumps, Gravity Belt Thickeners, Belt Filter Presses, Paddle Dryers, Turbo Dryers, and Rotary Atomizers. While interfacing with customers, the Aftermarket Sales Engineer II will balance inbound support with strategic outbound activities to grow the Aftermarket Parts and Service business, fostering high customer loyalty and repeat business. Building relationships with customers and third-party manufacturer representatives, the Aftermarket Sales Engineer II will diagnose equipment issues, identify replacement parts, and provide technical guidance. Collaborating closely with Field Sales, Process Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Finance teams, the Aftermarket Sales Specialist II will also participate in targeted outbound campaigns to deliver customer solutions
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose equipment issues and recommend appropriate replacement parts through various communication channels
- Interpret mechanical drawings to accurately identify correct replacement part numbers
- Communicate effectively about product features and applications based on comprehensive equipment knowledge
- Recommend suitable substitutions or modifications when identical replacements aren't available
- Prepare detailed quotations with accurate pricing and delivery timelines
- Maintain professional written correspondence with customers and coordinate special requests with internal teams
- Drive aftermarket sales growth through targeted outbound campaigns
- Expedite customer orders to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain accurate customer and asset data in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Source non-stock replacement parts through our procurement channels
- Process orders and perform related administrative functions
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a technical inside sales environment
- Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal communications
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
- Experience with manufacturing processes and factory environments
- Familiarity with industrial equipment, pumps, motors, transmission components, and gear reducers
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and related productivity applications
