What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credentialing Coordinator, Focus Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) position at Komen Graduate Training Program UT MDACC?
The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the job specific competencies associated with medical staff credentialing and privileging process to ensure alignment with regulatory and accreditation processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) to monitor and support physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) who are placed on a performance plan. It helps ensure they meet medical staff standards, improve performance, and provide safe, quality care to patients.
Job Functions
Initiating & Closing Routine FPPE Processes:
Responsible for initiating communication with the clinical departments regarding routine FPPE processes in a timely manner.
Data & Communication Integrity
Responsible for data and communication integrity related to all FPPE processes.
Committee Preparation
Responsible for assisting the Medical Staff Coordinator with preparations for CCMS and ensuring the timely reporting.
Liaison To Clinical Departments/Providers
Serve as an expert resource to medical staff and departments in the FPPE processes. Escalate to Leadership in an appropriate manner to de-escalate issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: Associate's Degree in related field.
Experience
Required: Three years experience in medical staff services, credentialing, accounting, auditing or other related field.
Preferred: Credentialing office experience in the initial appointment and recredentialing process with the Focus Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) with staff credentialing.
Licenses And Certifications
Preferred: CPCS - Cert. Provider Cred Specialist Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS).
