Job Overview

Key Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on Electric Rope Shovels
- Perform preventative maintenance and on-site service support
- Assist with capital builds, component changeouts, and equipment overhauls
- Partner with mine personnel and Komatsu teams to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently
- Assist electricians with installations and wiring of electric rope shovels.
- Effectively communicate to coworkers on any customers needs.
- Lead issue resolution teams in the field to effectively research, document and review Product Issues occurring on P&H Equipment.
- Lead machine troubleshooting, inspection and audit teams. Accurately report machine condition, repair/maintenance recommendations, time to repair/service, and recommended upgrades. Facilitate development of maintenance strategies that promote safety, system reliability, and the reduction of unplanned down time.
- Assume project management of major electrical field jobs. Assist electricians with installations, wiring and commissioning of this equipment.
- Effectively communicate to Customer Supervisors, Managers, Internal Employees, Engineering and Product Support on any customers needs.
- 2 years of hands-on experience with Electric Rope Shovels
- Able to work 10-hour days
- Prior mining or heavy equipment experience required
- Understand how circuits work and how to read and understand Electrical Schematics.
- Must be knowledgeable in Electrical Theory and in the Electrical Field.
- Must be prepared to perform Root Cause Analysis
