Komatsu is hiring aShop Technicianto support ourremanufacturing operationin Salt Lake City. This role focuses primarily onwheel motor and electric drive truck (EDT) componentsfor large electric drivemining trucks (730-930).

What You'll Do- Repair and rebuildwheel motors and EDT components
- Work withhydraulic wet brake systems, drivetrains, and electrical components
- Perform inspections related tobearings, gears, seals, and cracks
- Use tools likedie penetrant inspectionsas part of quality checks
- Operatelargecapacity forklifts and overhead cranes(training provided if needed)
- Participate in thedaily 6:00 amsafety meeting and lineouts
- This role involvesrepetitive, detailfocused workon the same components-ideal for someone who enjoys consistency and precision.

Schedule: This position is currently scheduled on a 4/10 work schedule. Based on business needs and customer demand, the schedule may be adjusted to a Monday-Friday schedule, including up to 50 hours per week.

- Complete all assigned repair and maintenance tasks efficiently
- Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, fostering a safe workplace for all.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic system issues, applying systematic failure analysis techniques.
- Conduct thorough testing and verification of all repairs and adjustments to ensure operational reliability and compliance with quality standards
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- 1-5 years of experience as a shop or field technician (mining, heavy equipment, or similar)
- Past experience with wheel motor, electrical, and/or drive train repair on electric drive mining trucks
- Comfort working in a structured, repetitive role
- Willingness to work early morning shift
- Safetyminded approach to work
