Successful candidates for a Mechanic Helper 1 in our Shop should have basic knowledge of the heavy equipment repair industry, including but not limited to:
- Performing rental check-ins & managing inventory of equipment
- Loading, unloading, and staging of equipment in the yard
- Cleaning and prepping equipment for delivery
- Ability to complete rigging and cribbing tasks
- Strong communication and team building skills
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks
- Shadow and support more senior technicians to enhance technical skill set
- Computer competency including Microsoft products as well as industry software
- Ability to read and write the English language
- Operation of heavy equipment
- Other duties as assigned
As a Mechanic Helper With Komatsu Company Stores East, The Physically Demanding Work Is Performed In Industrial Environments And Includes Exposure To Significant Environmental Conditions, Including But Not Limited To
- Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
- Working at heights
- Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, bending, and crouching
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds
- Hand/eye and motor coordination
- Work overtime as needed
- The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold, odors, hazards, and atmospheric exposures
