Assistant Project Manager- Laredo, TX

KOMAN Construction, LLC is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support our federal road construction and vegetation projects in Laredo, TX. The APM will support our Project Manager with tasks including quality control, enforcing safety protocol, project finances, field management, and scheduling.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs field inspections to ensure work is compliant with Quality Control contract requirements.
• Ensures that field staff and subcontractors are adhering to project safety requirements.
• Assists with developing schedules, project budget, milestones, and forecasts.
• Monitors the progress schedule and makes revisions as needed to ensure the projects stays on track.
• Works with Project Manager and subcontractors to prepare budgets for future projects.
• Works with the Superintendent ensure progress is being made and issues are being resolved in a timely manner.
• Provides estimating support during the bidding process.
• Prepares and oversees the preparation of project close-out reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years of field supervision experience required
• 1 year project management or assistant project management experience required.
• Knowledge of civil, grading & paving, or earthwork construction is required.
• Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and walk on uneven terrain.
• Must be able to pass a drug test, federal background check, and MVR.
• Valid drivers license and record is required.
