Engineering Supervisor

Position Summary: The engineering supervisor delivers service excellence and facilitates a positive guest experience while maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department. This position is responsible for hotel maintenance including preventative maintenance and equipment repairs. _____________________________________________________________________________________

Performance Expectations:

1. Repair and maintain facility building and equipment.
2. Perform and manage the preventative maintenance throughout the property such as mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry and plumbing.
3. Oversee general repairs, installations, operation, and preventative with regards to electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, fire protection, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, painting, kitchen equipment, sound and AV, sewage, plants, etc.
4. Assist management in hiring, training, evaluating, counseling, and motivating and coaching employees.
5. Respond to elevator breakdowns.
6. Maintain accurate maintenance records.
7. Ensure all engineering service requests are responded to and resolved in a timely, courteous and efficient manner. Respond to guest requests and report guest issues.
8. Maintain engineering work area in an orderly and clean fashion.
9. Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies as needed.
10. Assist in energy conservation by observing energy and utilities usage in the hotel.
11. Assist in handling emergencies in order to protect our guests and team members and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
12. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
13. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
14. Follow proper lost and found procedures for items left behind in a guest room.
15. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
16. Perform other tasks as requested by management.

General Requirements:

Able to work weekends

Report to work on time and in proper uniform.

Experience: At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred.

Education: None

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours.

Occasional lifting, pushing and pulling
