About Kolon TissueGene

Kolon TissueGene, Inc. (KTG) is a clinical-stage biopharma company developing TG-C, a first-in-class cell and gene therapy for osteoarthritis — a disease with significant unmet need and no disease-modifying treatment approved in the US. We are a small, high-conviction team preparing for our most pivotal chapter: commercial launch. Every person we hire shapes how we get there.

About the Role

We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner who is ready to operate with significant ownership. Reporting to the Global Head of Human Resources, you will own HR operations, contribute to infrastructure development, support compliance and employee relations, and bring data and insight to leadership decisions. You will work directly with the full KTG team, across all levels of the organization.

The ideal candidate is highly execution-driven and structured in their thinking, with a strong ability to build systems and processes in evolving, ambiguous environments. They are naturally curious, research-oriented, and driven by insights, while also being comfortable balancing big-picture strategy with hands-on execution. This person thrives in growth-stage environments, embraces change, and brings both adaptability and focus to their work.

What You Will Do

  • Support HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and policy infrastructure as KTG scales toward commercial launch
  • Own and manage HR systems including playing a key role in HRIS implementation projects from needs assessment through stabilization
  • Develop and maintain HR reporting and dashboards; translate data into insights and leadership-ready recommendations
  • Support employee relations and compliance activities, including investigations and policy development
  • Contribute to organizational effectiveness initiatives, structure, engagement, and workforce planning
  • Build and maintain HR processes for a distributed, remote-friendly team
  • Support recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and internal communications
  • Partner with leaders across functions to understand team needs and provide HR solutions

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 6 years of progressive HR experience across operations, systems, analytics, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and talent management in a regulated environment; ideally in a lean team or multifaceted role
  • Demonstrated ability to execute HR programs end-to-end with strong project management and attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills, strong data literacy, and proficiency in HR systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience leading at least one end-to-end HRIS implementation, from needs assessment and vendor selection through rollout and iteration
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — written, verbal, and async — with the ability to translate HR data into clear, decision-driving insights and work effectively across HR and business stakeholders
  • Experience with compensation benchmarking, workforce planning, and talent processes is preferred
  • Comfort working with regionally distributed and remote teams, with curiosity, adaptability, and genuine interest in emerging tools including AI

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a commercial-stage organization biopharma or life sciences
  • HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP)
  • Exposure to sales recognition programs or distributed team engagement design
  • Korean language skills (preferred; never a substitute for capability)

Why KTG

  • First-in-class science with real potential to change the standard of care for osteoarthritis
  • A small team where your contributions are visible and your growth is real
  • Direct access to senior leadership and decision-making
  • A culture that values speed, intellectual honesty, and doing the work

As we prepare for a pivotal U.S. launch, we are building a mission-driven team to shape the future of biotech — and improve the quality of life for patients worldwide.
