Summary:

The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a key role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role provides comprehensive financial support to all departments, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical acumen, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to connect business strategy with financial outcomes.


This position reports to the Sr. Director of Finance and CFO and is based at our corporate headquarters in Rockville, MD.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Partner with program and project managers to develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Consolidate departmental budgets into an organizational master budget and review all funding requests.
  • Monitor and control organizational spending to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Prepare and maintain mid- and long-term financial projections (“shadow budgets”).
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly forecasts and annual plans for P&L, balance sheet, and capital projections.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Support monthly financial reviews by analyzing variances, trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Develop financial reports and presentations for management and the parent company.
  • Continuously enhance financial processes and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and strategic insight.
  • Maintain data integrity within financial systems and support system-based reporting initiatives.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Skilled in preparing concise, insightful reports and presentations.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with the broader MS Office Suite.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance/accounting, with at least 2 years supporting R&D or project-based functions in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prior exposure to general ledger and accounting principles a plus.
  • Project coordination/management experience (1–3 years) in a pharma/biotech environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Korean is an asset however not essential
