Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cycle Counter to join our warehouse team. The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by performing scheduled cycle counts and verifying physical stock against system data. This role ensures inventory integrity, minimizes discrepancies, and supports efficient warehouse operations.
Duties
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory as scheduled.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory variances, identifying root causes.
- Record and report count results to the Inventory Control Supervisor.
- Update inventory in the Deacom system after official approval.
- Assist with year-end physical inventory and audits.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to locate misplaced materials or resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of stock locations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of counts and adjustments.
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards within the warehouse.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in inventory accuracy and process efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in math and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including varying temperatures.
