What You’ll D o:
The Adolescent Mental Health Therapist provides high-quality, evidence-based mental health services to adolescents and their families. This role involves conducting assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. The therapist collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to promote emotional, social, and behavioral wellness for adolescent clients.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Ability to work in person at our Bryn Mawr, PA, facility Monday-Thursday 12:30pm - 8:30pm & remote option for Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive interventions
- Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans with measurable goals aligned to client strengths, needs, and progress
- Monitor and document client progress according to professional standards and agency policies
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, school personnel, and other providers to ensure continuity of care
- Respond to crisis situations with appropriate de-escalation and safety interventions
- Participate in clinical team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development
- Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and community resources
- Maintain timely, accurate electronic health records and comply with confidentiality and ethical standards
- Support program development initiatives when needed
- Building authentic, person-centered therapeutic alliances with your patients
- Leading engaging group and individual psychotherapy sessions
- Provided patient education by clearly explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, and the implications of their condition, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their care and promoting improved health outcome
- Creating dynamic mental health education presentations
- Engage in case management responsibilities including assessments, collaborative treatment plans, discharge planning and managing partnerships with referral sources and other providers
- Demonstrates commitment to excellent patient care, which is measured through clinical outcomes, such as patient retention, attendance, successful program completion, transitioning from IOP, OTP, OP
- Collaborating with medical, clinical, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional, wraparound care
- Maintaining timely and thorough documentation (24-48 hour turnaround)
- Coordinates care for all appropriate support services, including referral sources, family members and other support providers
- Participating in crisis support through a shared on-call rotation
- Attends and is prepared for professional meetings, including a treatment team
- Provide evaluations for psychiatric disorders using the DSM-V and ASAM level of care criteria
- Contributing to clinical excellence through outcome-driven care, family support, and treatment team collaboration
What You Bring:
- A heart for healing and a head for strategy. You balance empathy with accountability and clinical strength.
- Minimum of 2 years mental health experience working in clinical direct patient care
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field required.
- Working knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care — EMDR experience is a major plus!
- Experience working with adolescents in outpatient, school, residential, or community mental health settings strongly preferred.
- Comfort using Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- A desire to grow, contribute, and be part of something bigger than yourself
- Licensure in one of the following:
- PA: LPC, LCSW, LMFT
