Overview:
Under the direction of the Engineering/Facilities Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer ensures the continuous, on‑going improvement of manufacturing processes and methods while reducing costs and improving quality, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise assigned staff to ensure the continuous, on‑going improvement of manufacturing processes and methods while reducing costs and improving quality.
Analyze, plan and implement manufacturing processes for the maximum utilization of human, material and machine assets, space requirements and work flow, and layout of equipment and work space for maximum efficiency of the production processes, while considering the safety of personnel, equipment, machinery and the facility.
Participate on cross functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing problems with regard to the continuous, on‑going improvement of processes and methods to improve productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
Research and justify capital equipment expenditures for efficient and economical manufacture of products. Coordinate the planning, acquisition, installation and troubleshooting of new equipment.
Support production to maintain processes, troubleshoot and resolve problems with the products, equipment or processes.
Act as the technical resource to customers and associates address and resolve inquiries and problems related to the manufacturing processes and products.
Experience
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering and progressively related experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
