Litigation Associate Attorney
Industry leading litigation firm with growth opportunities, looking for an Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will be an organized, driven and energetic individual with experience in civil/consumer law, familiarity with Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Song-Beverly, B&P 17200 and employment law. This position will be reporting to Elizabeth L. Kolar, Esq.
Job Duties
- Draft and argue law and motion
- Propound and respond to discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend hearings, mediations and arbitrations
- Assist in trial preparation and attend trial with lead counsel
- Conduct research and analysis of legal issues
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients
- Advise clients on laws, rulings, and regulations
- Perform other duties assigned
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school required
- License to practice law in the State of California required
- 2 years of experience
- Knowledge of the following: general civil litigation, personal injury, premises liability defense, handling of credit and financing law in relation to consumers and reporting, employment law, consumer warranty law is a bonus
- Prior deposition, mediation, and arbitration experience
This position offers the opportunity to participate in a performance-based bonus program tied to individual billing contributions.
Pay Scale: $150,000 - $225,000 per year based on experience
